Tutoring

With many years of experience as both a primary school teacher and SENCO, I offer specialist tutoring for children aged 4-11, including those with SEND, EBSA, and children educated at home. Through personalised, engaging sessions, I help children overcome barriers to learning, strengthen key skills, close learning gaps, increase confidence, and develop the independence needed to achieve their full potential. Every programme is carefully tailored to meet the unique needs of the child and family.

What a session looks like

  1. Connect, Regulate and Review

Each session begins with an emotional check-in, celebration of previous successes and a review of prior learning, helping to build trust, reduce anxiety and ensure the child feels settled, confident and ready to learn.

  2. Personalised Learning Activities

Engaging, tailored activities, using a range of practical and interactive approaches to develop key skills, address learning gaps and build confidence through success.

  3. Reflection and Celebrate

The session ends with an opportunity to reflect on learning, celebrate progress, identify successful strategies and agree next steps, helping to build confidence, independence and a positive sense of achievement.
